Abstract
Youth Empowerment plays a vital role in strengthening national integration in a diverse country like India with its vast cultural, linguistic and regional diversity. India requires a strong unifying force to maintain the harmony and unity. The youth who constitute a significant portion of the population have the potential to bridge social, economic and cultural gaps. Empowered youth contribute to nation building by promoting values such as equality, tolerance and democratic participation. This paper examines how education, skill development, social awareness empower youths to actively participate in the integration process. It also highlights the challenges faced by youth. Active participation is essential for fostering unity, peace and sustainable development in India. Youth empowerment in India is crucial for national integration with over 68% of the population. Initiatives like Mera Yuva Bharat and National Youth Policy foster unity, digital literacy, entrepreneurship and volunteerism to transform youth into active partners in building a unified Viksit Bharat. Youth have the power to challenge existing power structures, advocate for justice, equality and promote cultural understanding. Moreover, young people can serve as role models inspiring others to work towards a common goal of building a better future.
