Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, France, Great Britain, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Liechtenstein, Poland, Russia (South, Central and North European Territory, West Siberia, Far East), Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, Serbia and Montenegro, Afghanistan, Japan, China (Northern Territory), Asian Türkiye, Morocco (Schuh 2020); Romania (Merkl et al. 2016); Iran (Otero and Ghahari 2020, Farashiani et al. 2022); Moldova (Bacal 2023, Bacal and Buşmachiu 2025); Kazakhstan (Temreshev 2025); Belgium (Thomaes et al. 2025).
Notes
In Bulgaria, this species has been recorded from Varna (Anonymous (1907): 300, as Colobicus emarginatus), Emine Cape (Palm 1966: 14), from the vicinity of Ropotamo River mouth (Black Sea coast) (Dajoz 1971: 101), from Maleshevska planina Mountains (Bencheva and Doychev 2022) and from southern Dobrudzha (Trigortsi and Dropla Villages) (Guéorguiev et al. 2026: 4). In the present study, we report C. hirtus from the vicinity of Paril Village (between Pirin and Slavyanka Mountains) (Fig. 9) and from Sofia City.
