The Lantern of Sulfur (LoS) defines physiology as a coordinated system in which coherence and collapse emerge from the interaction of structure, control, state, and failure. It organizes system behavior across four layers:

• Mechanism (Concept B): biological execution across metabolic, electrolyte, and regulatory systems

The Directional Pressure Failure (DPF) Series extends this framework into execution-level behavior, defining how systems remain active but fail to resolve when directional control, exit integrity, or timing alignment is lost.
