Brazilian Euterpe oleracea Anthocyanin Complex for Neuroprotection
Description
Açaí anthocyanins, particularly cyanidin-3-glucoside and pelargonidin-3-glucoside, cross the blood-brain barrier and activate the PI3K/Akt pathway while inhibiting neuroinflammatory microglia activation via TLR4 antagonism. This dual neuroprotective mechanism addresses the cognitive deficits in tetrasomy X by promoting neuronal survival and reducing chronic neuroinflammation from X-linked gene overexpression.
