Arginase-1 Inhibition to Reverse M2 Macrophage Polarization

  • 1. MedicOath

Description

CB-1158 (INCB001158) inhibits arginase-1 enzyme, preventing L-arginine depletion and restoring nitric oxide synthase (NOS2) activity in infected macrophages. This shifts macrophage polarization from permissive M2 (IL-10, TGF-β dominant) to leishmanicidal M1 phenotype (iNOS, TNF-α, IL-12 production).
