Remdesivir Repurposing for MARV RNA Polymerase Targeting
Description
Remdesivir (GS-5734) functions as an adenosine nucleotide analog that terminates MARV RNA synthesis through incorporation by viral RNA-dependent RNA polymerase. The drug bypasses initial incorporation due to its structure mimicking natural ATP, but causes delayed chain termination at position i+3, effectively blocking viral genome replication and transcription.
