Reanalysis cyclone tracks and summary table
Authors/Creators
Description
This dataset includes cyclone tracks and a summary table. The cyclone tracks have been tracked with TRACK using ERA5 (1940-2024) and JRA3Q (1948-2024). The tracks also include cyclone phase space parameters (calculated by TRACK).
The track files have been condensed into a single netCDF per reanalysis using the code at (https://github.com/leosaffin/jasmin-tracks/) and can be loaded with huracanpy.
The summary table contains information on matching across datasets, and with IBTrACS, and whether they would be identified as tropical cyclones using various criteria. It has been saved as parquet using pandas, and can be opened with pd.read_parquet
