Authors/Creators
Description
The present paper considers the impact of Information Technology (IT) on
Human Resource (HR) practices in the Nagpur IT industry as the employee sees it. It
has been developed during the last several years to transform the HR activities, enhance
the efficiencies, and make the processes easier. The authors used a quantitative
approach and sampled 264 employees of various IT companies in Nagpur. A structured
questionnaire was used to collect data, which was analyzed with the assistance of
statistical software such as SPSS to give descriptive statistics, correlations, and chisquare tests. The most remarkable findings are that IT integration has improved
performance management (4.05/5), payroll (4.45/5), training (3.89/5), recruitment
(mean score of 4.12/5), and a high percentage (78%) of the respondents indicated a
positive perception of the same. However, 28 percent were concerned that over-reliance
on technology would lead to depersonalization and the loss of confidentiality of
information. The specified study contributes to the viewpoint of the workers of the
emerging IT center in Nagpur, and it also offers practical suggestions concerning the
balanced integration of IT and HR..
