This study investigates the methodological foundations for developing academic writing skills in German as a foreign language within the framework of modern language pedagogy. The research focuses on integrating process-oriented writing, genre-based instruction, and digital learning tools to enhance learners’ academic literacy. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining experimental teaching with qualitative observation. The findings reveal that structured instruction, supported by iterative feedback and scaffolding techniques, significantly improves students’ writing performance. The study highlights the importance of combining linguistic, cognitive, and technological dimensions in fostering academic writing competence.
