Open Access publishing at no cost thanks to UNIGE agreements, in 15 minutes

This is the slide deck of the rendez-vous de l'information scientifique organised by the University of Geneva Library and devoted to the University's Read & Publish agreements with scientific publishers. The presentation was first given as part of Open Access Week 2022, and has been offered a few times since, with small updates on the slides.

Objective: To discover the agreements allowing UNIGE authors to publish their research in Open Access at no or low cost, as well as their terms & conditions.

Program/Contents:

• Present the evolution of scientific publishing with the emergence of new types of agreements with publishers
• Identify the issues at stake in national negotiations
• Locate information on the agreements and the conditions applicable for the (full or partial) coverage of costs.
