Viksit Bharat @2047 is a national vision that aims to transform India into a developed country by the year 2047, marking 100 years of independence. Big dream. Long journey. The concept focuses on achieving high economic growth, social equality, technological advancement and sustainable development. The main objective of this study is to understand the idea of Viksit Bharat and examine whether India is progressing towards developed nation status. The study also analyses economic indicators such as GDP growth, infrastructure development, digital expansion and human development trends during recent years. The study is based on secondary data collected from government reports, NITI Aayog publications, World Bank statistics and Economic Survey data for the period 2014–2025. The study follows descriptive research design and uses trend interpretation method to understand development progress. The findings show that India is improving in digital economy, infrastructure, innovation and financial inclusion. Government initiatives such as Make in India, Digital India, Skill India and infrastructure expansion contribute positively. The study concludes that continuous policy reforms, human capital development and technological innovation are necessary for achieving Viksit Bharat goal.
