Clinical Judgment Integrity Officer (CJIO) Canonical Reference Document

Description

This document establishes the canonical definition, theoretical stack, and scope of practice for the Clinical Judgment Integrity Officer (CJIO) role. It serves as the source of truth for all subsequent manuscripts, certificate materials, credentialing pathways, and institutional policy that reference the role.

The CJIO role names a function that has not previously been codified: the protection of clinical judgment integrity across the model, infrastructure, and care delivery layers of AI-mediated clinical environments. Where prior AI governance frameworks address technical performance and organizational compliance, the CJIO role addresses the clinical judgment layer as a distinct and non-delegable safety domain.
