Description
Abstract
The study explores mental health awareness and preventive measures among college students, highlighting the psychological challenges they face such as stress, anxiety, and depression during their transition to higher education. Findings reveal that while most students are aware of mental health concepts, many do not seek professional help due to stigma, lack of awareness, and underestimation of symptoms. Preventive initiatives like counseling services, workshops, peer mentoring, mindfulness practices, and digital platforms are available but underutilized. The research emphasizes the importance of integrating awareness programs, resilience training, and accessible support systems into campus culture to reduce stigma, encourage early intervention, and strengthen students’ psychological resilience.
