Description
The GGN Working Group on SDGs organized and coordinated an online survey in order to present the contribution of the UNESCO Global Geoparks with various activities on the implementation of the goals. The GGN Working Group worked for the development of SDGs template with basic information and examples of SDGs implementation in UNESCO Global Geoparks. The survey was supported by a series of SDGs workshops during 2025 on the global and regional network level as well as by a tutorial . This procedure is annual. The UNESCO Global Geoparks were invited to answer an online questionnaire. The questionnaire included questions for each SDG separately. The questions focussed on actions, which are implemented by each UNESCO Global Geopark that promote each goal. 152 UNESCO Global Geoparks participating in the SDGs 2024 Report out of the total number of 213 UNESCO Global Geoparks (recognized in 2024).
