Ethereum Governance Discussion and Proposal Database for EIP/ERC Research, 2015-10-27 to 2026-02-12

This database is a research dataset of Ethereum governance activity centred on Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) and Ethereum Request for Comment proposals (ERCs). It integrates proposal metadata with linked discussion data from Ethereum Magicians and GitHub, enabling proposal-level, actor-level, network, community, and temporal analysis of Ethereum governance. The database includes proposal records, proposal authorship fields, linked discussion threads, individual posts, directed interaction records derived from replies, mentions, and quotes, and supporting metadata for proposal status, category, timing, and cross-source linkage.

The dataset covers the period from 2015-10-27 to 2026-02-12 inclusive. It was created to support reproducible research on participation, concentration, influence, community structure, and governance change over time in the Ethereum proposal process. The database is suitable for human research in computational social science, internet governance, digital institutions, and blockchain governance, including studies of deliberation, decentralisation, elite influence, proposal outcomes, and temporal dynamics.
