Remarks.

These specimens clearly belong to the genus Paractenoscia, but cannot be assigned to any of the known species of the genus. They are morphologically close to P. cavernicola, from which they differ in several characters, including differences in mouthpart morphology, the lower number and different shape of antennular aesthetascs, the proportions of the antennal flagellar articles, and the presence of rows of hair-like setae on the distal margins of the merus and carpus instead of scales. They also differ from P. sendrai sp. nov. (see above) in several characters, including the type of scale-setae, the position of the noduli laterales, and the structure of the dactyli. Since only female specimens are available, we prefer not to formally describe the species until additional material becomes available.
