EFFECTS OF BIOSTIMULANTS ON GENE EXPRESSION IN COTTON (GOSSYPIUM SPP.) UNDER SALT STRESS CONDITIONS
Authors/Creators
Description
In this study, the cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) cultivar “Porloq-4” was
investigated under salt stress conditions (100 mM NaCl) in response to the application of the
biopreparations “Rizokom-1” and “Mikrozim-2”. The results demonstrated that these
biopreparations significantly increased the expression of antioxidant genes SOD, POD, CAT,
APX, GPX, and GR, thereby activating the plant’s stress-response mechanisms. It was found that
“Rizokom-1” predominantly enhances the activity of antioxidant and phytohormonal systems,
whereas “Mikrozim-2” stimulates the expression of genes associated with osmoprotectant
biosynthesis and metabolic processes. The obtained results indicate the effectiveness of these
biopreparations in improving cotton tolerance to salt stress.
