Paleo-based climate reanalysis: paleo-NorCPM1
Description
This archive contains the reanalyses spanning the past few centuries produced with paleo-NorCPM:
- paleo-NorCPM1 offline reanalysis (from 1501 to 2010)
- wind-nudged reanalysis (from 1601 to 2000)
For each reanalysis, the ensemble mean and variance are provided at monthly resolution for the following variables:
-
PRECT– Total precipitation (m s-1) -
PSL– Sea-level pressure (Pa) -
TREFHT– Near-surface (2 m) air temperature (K) -
U850– Zonal wind at 850 hPa (m s-1) -
V850– Meridional wind at 850 hPa (m s-1) T850– Atmospheric temperature at 850 hPa (K)-
Z500– Geopotential height at 500 hPa (m) fice– Sea-ice concentration (%)-
SPEI– Standardized Precipitation Evapotranspiration Index (unitless)
In addition, for the wind-nudged reanalysis, the following variables are provided:
-
MOC26– AMOC strength at 26° North (Sv) OHC_global_0000-700m– Global ocean heat content from the first 700 meters (ZJ).-
mld– Mixed layer depth (m)
As for oceanic variables, those have been interpolated on the CAM4 f19 grid (1.9° × 2.5° latitude–longitude).
The full ensemble is available following this link: https://ns9039k.web.sigma2.no/datalake/dalaiden/paleo-NorCPM1/all_members.
