Description

Part of the Casa Santa Rosa resources and tools ecosystem (https://www.casasantarosa.it/risorse-e-strumenti), this preliminary working paper introducing a process-oriented monitoring tool based on the Sarpa Scale, designed to support the observation of activation and relational engagement in structured activities involving adults with severe intellectual disability.
The tool integrates the original Sarpa Scale with additional dimensions, including relational engagement and quality of observation, using a simple pre/post format to capture micro-level variations in behavior and participation, within a quality of life–oriented framework.
A ready-to-use version of the tool is provided for practical application in clinical and care settings.
This contribution is practice-oriented and requires further empirical validation.
