NATMed: Annual Crop Type per Parcel in the Cooperative Irrigation System at Lake Chimaditida (2016-2024)

This dataset records the annual type of cultivation for 178 agricultural parcels within the cooperative irrigation system operating in the Lake Chimaditida wetland area (Elos Chimaditidas), Western Macedonia, Greece. Data cover nine agricultural seasons from 2016 to 2024. Each record includes a parcel identifier, parcel area (m²), and the crop grown each year. Crop types include alfalfa (μηδική), wetland maize (καλαμπόκι βάλτου), wheat (σιτάρι), and stone fruits (πυρηνόκαρπα). The total agricultural area covered is approximately 414 hectares. The dataset is relevant for studies of agricultural water demand, irrigation management, land use change, and the interaction between farming practices and wetland hydrology in the broader Chimaditida area.
