Description
This repository contains two models developed using EPA SWMM v.5.2.4 for the hydrological and hydraulic simulation of an urban drainage systems.
The files are provided in support of scientific analyses and published research activities, and are intended for reproducibility, educational use, and further model development.
---
Repository Contents
The repository includes the following main files:
1. Drainage Network Model
File: 'tecnopolo_r1.inp'
This file contains the SWMM model of the drainage network, including:
- Network layout (nodes, conduits, and hydraulic structures)
- Hydrological and hydraulic parameters
- Rainfall time series used in the simulations
- All additional auxiliary time series required by the model
This model represents only the drainage network and does not include storage or infiltration facilities.
---
2. Infiltration Ponds Model
File: 'tecnopolo_LID_RUN100.inp'
This file contains the SWMM model used for the simulation of the infiltration ponds, and includes:
- Representation of the infiltration ponds
- Hydrological and hydraulic parameters
- Equivalent Rainfall time series used in the simulations
- All additional auxiliary time series required by the model
All time series are defined internally within the `.inp` file and are correctly referenced in SWMM.
Software Requirements
EPA SWMM (recommended: v. 5.2.4)
The models are compatible with recent SWMM versions; for strict reproducibility, it is recommended to use the same SWMM version adopted in the associated scientific work, if specified.
---
Notes on Use
- The models are provided 'as-is'.
- Users may adapt or extend the models for other applications or case studies.
- When reusing the models, users should verify units, simulation periods, and parameter settings according to their specific context.
