Insulin Resistance and Ad-Hoc Hypotheses
Authors/Creators
Description
Type 2 diabetes is explained in the conventional model as a state of insulin resistance
with receptor defects, signaling pathway defects, and inflammation. This article argues that
insulin resistance is not a signaling defect but a logistical problem: the glycogen stores
are full. Insulin is a post-it note, glucose is distilled sunlight, and glycans are the body’s
language. When one cuts away, the need for ad-hoc hypotheses disappears. Falsification is
simple: fasting followed by a ketogenic diet normalizes all parameters. Type 2 diabetes is
only a chronic disease if one makes it so.
