The international conference is organised by the Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art, University of Latvia (ILFA) as part of the project “ ‘Primitive and Noisy Music in Soviet Latvia (1956-1986): Control Mechanisms and Practices of Avoidance Under Authoritarian Rule” (lzp-2024/1-0059), which is supported by the Latvian Research Council and carried out at ILFA.
