Advanced Real-Time Steering and Wheel Position Monitoring System for Vehicle Alignment Detection: Design and Development
Description
Proper wheel alignment, coupled with precise steering position monitoring, is essential for ensuring vehicle safety, extending tire lifespan, and maintaining driving stability. This study presents the design and development of an advanced real-time steering and wheel position monitoring system for detecting vehicle alignment. The proposed method integrates precision position sensors with a microcontroller-based processing unit to continuously measure the steering angle, wheel position, and trajectory. Data were collected to analyze and identify misalignment conditions by comparing real-time angular deviations with predefined alignment parameters. Experimental validation demonstrated enhanced detection accuracy and a faster response time compared to conventional manual alignment inspection methods. A reliable and cost-effective solution was developed for automotive diagnostic applications, which can be integrated into modern vehicle monitoring frameworks.
