Authors/Creators
Description
The paper examines the influence of English Romanticism on the development
of Russian literature of the 19th century, using the works of George Gordon Byron and
Mikhail Yuryevich Lermontov as examples. Special attention is paid to the historical events in Europe, including the consequences of the French Revolution, which became a driving
force for the emergence of a new literary movement — Romanticism.
