LEGAL STATUS AND MODERN CHANGES IN THE POWERS OF PROSECUTORIAL BODIES

Description

This scientific article analyzes the modern changes that occurred in the legal 
status and powers of the prosecution authorities of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2024
2025. The article examines the norms of the newly revised 2023 Constitution regarding 
prosecutorial activities, amendments to the Law "On the Prosecutor's Office" introduced by 
Law No. ZRU-1008 dated November 29, 2024, the expansion of the prosecutor's powers to 
participate in court proceedings under the Law of September 30, 2024, the "Digital 
Prosecutor's Office — 2030" strategy approved by Decree No. UP-204 dated November 3, 
2025, and significant reforms such as the transfer of powers for combating corruption and 
investigating sexual crimes to the prosecutor's office in 2025–2026. The article highlights 
trends in the modernization of prosecutorial powers, digitalization, protection of human 
rights, and adaptation to international standards.
