2026 HBCU CHIPS Network Conference Book of Abstracts
Authors/Creators
Description
This Book of Abstracts accompanies the 2026 HBCU CHIPS Network Conference, held on April 1–2, 2026, at the Renaissance Atlanta Midtown Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. The conference brings together students, faculty, researchers, industry professionals, and federal partners to support innovation and workforce development across the U.S. semiconductor ecosystem. Launched in 2025, the conference is now in its second year, following the inaugural meeting hosted at Howard University. Organized by the HBCU CHIPS Network—a coalition of more than 30 Historically Black Colleges and Universities—the conference serves as a national platform for collaboration, research exchange, and engagement in semiconductors and microelectronics.
This volume includes abstracts from keynote speakers, invited presenters, and student researchers, highlighting current research and emerging advances in microelectronics, semiconductors, materials, and related fields. The conference program features technical sessions, panel discussions, poster presentations, and networking opportunities that encourage interaction across academia, industry, and government. The 2026 conference also introduces a College Career Fair, providing students with opportunities to connect with organizations in the semiconductor and microelectronics industries and to learn more about internships, career pathways, and professional opportunities in the field.
This Book of Abstracts serves as the official record of the conference and is intended for conference participants, researchers, educators, and industry stakeholders. Updated versions may be released to incorporate revisions or additional contributions.
