Holotype ♀. Destroyed (Kröber Collection).

Comments. According to the original description, this species is similar to S. huancabambae, which was described in the same year by the same author and which type specimen is lost. It differs from S. huancabambae because this species has a thorax with two broad black sublateral stripes and hyaline wings, whereas S. rufipes has thorax without stripes and smoky brown wings. Bequaert & Renjifo-Salcedo (1946) recognize this species for Colombia, however, we did not have access to this material and their work does not provide diagnosis, redescription or illustration, so it was not possible to identify S. rufipes, which is why the species was not included in the identification key.
