Type locality. “ New Granada ” (Colombia).
Diagnosis. Body yellowish-brown. Frons broad covered with white pruinosity. Palpus dark brown, quite sharp. black, about twice the height of the frons. Gena with dense, long whitish setulae. Thorax brown with two incomplete yellowish sublateral stripes. Legs dark brown. Wing smoky yellow. Abdominal tergites 1 and 2 yellowish-brown, the first a little darker. Tergite 3 brown with yellowish posterior margin. Other tergites dark brown.
Distribution. Colombia.
Type material examined. Holotype, ♀, deposited at the MLUH (examined through photographs).
Comments. Scione nigripes is similar to S. cingulata. It differs in that S. cingulata has brown thorax with five yellowish longitudinal stripes, dark brown frons and is less wide than in S. nigripes.
