Comments. Scione fulvosericea is very similar to S. rufescens. It differs in smaller size, the specimens of S. fulvosericea examined here measure between 14–16 mm, whereas those of S. rufescens measure between 17–17.4 mm and by the absence of the pronounced prominence at the apex of the clypeus, present in S. rufescens.
