PROBLEMS OF TEACHING ENGLISH GRAMMAR IN A CHINESE-SPEAKING GROUP: EXPERIENCE OF A RUSSIAN TEACHER

The article addresses the challenges of teaching English grammar to Chinese-speaking students in a Russian-language educational environment. The focus is on linguistic barriers arising from significant differences between Chinese and English in grammar, writing systems, and phonetics. The paper proposes strategies to overcome these challenges, including the use of comparative linguistic analysis, multimodal teaching methods (visual aids, presentations, online tools), and motivation maintenance through student engagement in a two-way learning process.
