Navigating complexity in architectural research: toward an integrative approach
Description
Presentation at the Seminar Series Architecture & Built Environment, Northumbria University.
Since 1999, the ARC Engineering and Architecture La Salle group has utilized digital technologies as transformative tools to integrate pedagogy, research, and architectural practice. This multidisciplinary work encompasses diverse domains, including housing, lived space and building energy efficiency. This presentation will showcase the evolution of this integrative approach through various research initiatives led by the group, including the MSCA-ITN RE-DWELL “Delivering sustainable and affordable housing in Europe”, the Creative Europe A-Place “Linking places through networked artistic practices”, and the H2020 TIMEPAC “Towards Innovative Methods for Energy Performance Assessment and Certification” projects. Key findings that will guide the continued development of these research lines will also be discussed.
