VITAL FEW AND TRIVIAL MANY'- THE PARETO PRINCIPLE IN IMPLANTOLOGY- A REVIEW.
Description
ABSTRACT
According to the Pareto Principle, also known as the 80/20 rule, 20% of causes account for about 80% of outcomes. This idea provides a strong framework for determining the disproportionate impact of a small number of clinical, patient-related, surgical, prosthetic, and biological factors on the majority of implant failures and complications when it comes to implant dentistry. This review thoroughly examines the main domains—systemic risk factors, bone quality, surgical technique, peri-implant disease, prosthetic design, and patient compliance—through which the Pareto Principle appears in implant dentistry.
