Abstract

We construct an effective field theory of spacetime as a constitutive electromagnetic medium. Light propagation emerges as the eigenmode of a lattice excitation field governed by a tensorial dielectric response. The Lorentz factor, light speed invariance, and CMB anisotropy arise as emergent consequences of the underlying effective action. We derive the modified dispersion relation, the anisotropic transfer function, and the polarization estimator $X_{EE} = \epsilon$. The framework provides a falsifiable prediction: $\epsilon \sim 10^{-2}$ from CMB polarization, testable by next-generation experiments at $\sim 10\sigma$ significance.

摘要

本文将时空构建为一种本构电磁介质的有效场论。光传播被视为受张量介电响应支配的晶格激发场的特征模态。洛伦兹因子、光速不变性以及宇宙微波背景(CMB)的各向异性,均作为底层有效作用量的涌现结果而被导出。我们推导了修正的色散关系、各向异性传递函数以及偏振估计量 $X_{EE} = \epsilon$。该框架提供了一个可证伪的预言:CMB 偏振观测中的参数 $\epsilon \sim 10^{-2}$,这一结果可由下一代观测实验在约 $10\sigma$ 的置信度下进行检验。
