CampusTrack: Smart Attendance Monitoring and Analytics System using MERN Stack

This paper presents CampusTrack, a smart attendance monitoring and analytics system developed using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js). The system eliminates traditional manual attendance methods and reduces dependency on hardware-based solutions such as RFID and biometric systems.

It features role-based access control, JWT-based authentication, real-time attendance tracking, and analytics dashboards for improved decision-making. The system is cloud-ready, scalable, and cost-effective, making it suitable for smart campus environments.

Experimental evaluation shows improved efficiency, reduced administrative workload, and enhanced usability compared to traditional systems. Future enhancements include Wi-Fi-based presence detection and AI-based automation.
