Description
The transition to low-emission, low-noise aviation requires not only new aircraft technologies but also a systems-level view of their interaction with airport operations and global or regional air traffic and aircraft fleet involved. This study, within the EFACA project, focuses on airport-scale noise impacts of hybrid-electric and hydrogen-fueled aircraft using the model EFACAport. Simulated trajectories from the VALDES design platform, combined with ADS-B data and certified performance metrics, support
detailed analysis of taxi, take-off, and landing phases. Noise modeling tools NoiTra and NoBel ensure compliance of the new aircraft designs with ICAO standards. Scenario-based projections assess the cumulative impact of future traffic and fleet evolution.
