Walking through 2700 years of history of Tell Nebi Yunus, Mosul, Iraq in a Virtual Reality application: A new way to present a heritage site's cultural dynamics

In the situation, in which ISIL blew up the centuries-old Nebi Yunus Mausoleum in 2014 and then systematically looted a Late Assyrian palace underneath, the two questions arose a) how the last 2700 years of the cultural heritage site of Tell Nebi Yunus in Mosul, Iraq could be recovered, and b) how this long history of cultural dynamics could be retold and made accessible to modern audiences?
