Description
The rapid technological advancement and the emergence of Industry 4.0 have significantly transformed the manufacturing sector (Schwab, 2016). Organizations are increasingly focusing on reskilling and upskilling initiatives to enhance employee competencies and ensure sustainable career growth (World Economic Forum, 2020). This study examines the role of reskilling and upskilling in employee career development within the manufacturing industry. The research explores how continuous learning opportunities help employees adapt to technological changes, improve job performance, and enhance career progression (Noe, 2017). The study is based on primary and secondary data collected from employees working in manufacturing organizations. The findings reveal that reskilling and upskilling programs contribute significantly to career advancement, job satisfaction, and organizational productivity (Deloitte, 2021). The paper highlights the importance of structured training programs and organizational support in fostering employee development.
