Description
It is evident that ‘digital banking’ is transforming work design within Indian commercial banks. It is renovating customer experiences, strengthening risk controls, and reforming operating systems. These alterations are generating noticeable skill gaps across frontline, process, risk, and technology roles. The present research paper is an attempt to provide experiential evidence of reskilling using publicly accessible bank disclosures, governing observations, and reliable industry reports. Reskilling contributions-training intensity, job relevance, and learning transference construct digital competencies of employees. These capabilities initiate digital implementation, service excellence, productivity, and operational flexibility. The evidence proposes that banks are scaling digital transactions. As a result, growing technology investment and recognizing cybersecurity ability and talent limitations are critical operational risks. This research paper also advances measurable hypotheses and an empirical authentication approach that mixes employee survey measures with archival pointers. It concludes suggestions for HR strategy, leadership priorities, and policy-supported skilling ecosystems in India.
