Pensión alimenticia en relación con la paternidad ausente
Authors/Creators
Description
Failure to provide child support often arises as a consequence of divorce or separation, where one parent completely neglects their family obligations, delegating the care of their children to their former spouse or partner. Frequently, it is the father who is absent, and the mother assumes all the emotional and affective responsibility for raising the children, as well as all the associated expenses. Unfortunately, a patriarchal culture prevails in Mexican society, where the care and attention of children is not seen as the responsibility of both parents, and women are typically assigned the role of caregivers in the home, primarily for their own children, but also for other family members, especially if someone is ill or has a disability.
