Description
The Redalyc Open Data infrastructure based on the OAI-PMH protocol enables automated metadata harvesting, institutional interoperability, and open access to scientific information.
Through this infrastructure, Redalyc provides OAI-PMH data providers at the journal, institutional, and country levels, allowing repositories and information systems to harvest standardized metadata. This process strengthens the visibility and dissemination of scientific output while supporting the Diamond Open Access model, which promotes free access to knowledge without article processing charges (APCs).
The workflow includes journal selection and integration, data normalization, and the generation of institutional repositories and country nodes, facilitating the integration of scientific production into the global scholarly communication ecosystem.
