Authors/Creators
Description
Mesh files for the MATLAB implementation of the 3D Element-based Finite Volume Method (EbFVM) presented in the paper “Modelling Heterogeneous Interfaces using Element-based Finite Volumes” by Suhaib Ardah, Francisco J. Profito, and Daniele Dini. Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering (2026).

This dataset contains the computational meshes used for steady-state lubrication simulations in misaligned journal bearings, including the benchmark geometries considered in the repository: Dimple, Herringbone, and SawTooth.
The files are provided to support reproducibility of the numerical results reported in the associated manuscript and GitHub code repository. The mesh data include the information required by the EbFVM framework, such as nodal coordinates, element connectivity, surrounding-node information, and boundary-condition definitions associated with boundary nodes and edges.
These files are intended to be used together with the accompanying MATLAB code repository, available at: https://github.com/ardahs/EbFVM-3D.
