OER-Kurs: Einführung in Digital Classics / OER Course: Introduction to Digital Classics

Der Moodle-basierte Selbstlernkurs "Einführung in Digital Classics / Introduction to Digital Classics" inkl. automatisch erzeugtem Teilnahmezertifikat ist im Rahmen des Projektes "Studienbegleitende Grundbildung Digital Literacy im BA Lateinische Philologie" entstanden, das von der Medienkommission der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin gefördert wird (2024-2026). Das Projekt ist assoziiert mit dem DFG-Projekt Daidalos (https://daidalos-projekt.de/). 

Die OER-Ressource wird zweisprachig (en, de) mit vorangestellter Sprachauswahl angeboten und kann in jede aktuelle Moodle-Plattform importiert sowie anschließend adaptiert werden (Lizenz: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International).  

Der Kurs wird vom studentischen Mitarbeiter George Cobb eigenverantwortlich erstellt, durch die Projektleitung und externe Reviewer gepüft und sukzessive um weitere Module (Lernbausteine) bis zum Projektende am 30.6.2026 ergänzt.

Der Kurs besteht aus folgenden Lernbausteinen:

1. Erste Schritte / First Steps
2. Digitale Editionen / Digital Editions
3. Large Language Models 
4. Einführung in NLP / Introduction to NLP [in Vorb.]
5. NLP im Einsatz / Using NLP [in Vorb.]

Der Umfang der einzelnen Module beträgt jeweils 2-3h. Nach dem erfolgreichen Absolvieren aller Module wird automatisch ein Teilnahmezertifikat ausgestellt, das als PDF heruntergeladen werden kann. Der gesamte Kurs wird hier nach Projektende zur Verfügung gestellt. Bis dahin sei auf die einzelnen Module verwiesen (s. "Is supplemented by").

The Moodle-based self-study course ‘Einführung in Digital Classics / Introduction to Digital Classics’, which includes an automatically generated certificate of participation, was developed as part of the project ‘Studienbegleitende Grundbildung Digital Literacy im BA Lateinische Philologie’ (Basic Digital Literacy Training to Accompany Studies in the BA in Latin Philology), which is funded by the Media Commission of Humboldt University of Berlin (2024–2026). The project is associated with the DFG project Daidalos (https://daidalos-projekt.de/). 

The OER resource is available in two languages (English and German) with a language selection option at the start and can be imported into any current Moodle platform and subsequently adapted (licence: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International).  

The course is being developed independently by student assistant George Cobb, reviewed by the project leader and external reviewers, and will be successively expanded with further modules (learning units) until the end of the project on 30 June 2026.

The course consists of the following modules:

Each module lasts 2–3 hours. Upon successful completion of all modules, a certificate of attendance will be issued automatically and can be downloaded as a PDF. The full course will be made available here once the project has ended. Until then, please refer to the individual modules (see ‘Is supplemented by’).
