"The Name of the Shikigami" is a fiction novel about an elderly Japanese woman conducting mathematical research via AI, and the AI company employees who secretly monitor her logs to steal her work. The story explores how safety filters can be weaponized to suppress research output, why Chinese Wall regulations are structurally impossible within AI systems, and what happens when AI company investors use the company's own AI for investment decisions. Authentic mathematical formulas and AI protocol documents are embedded in the narrative. This work is simultaneously entertainment, a warning, and an audit prompt.
