Description

Administrative practices in primary schools significantly influence operational efficiency, teacher morale, and student achievement, yet persistent challenges undermine their effectiveness. Inadequate resource allocation, poor communication channels, and limited strategic planning often hinder smooth school functioning, particularly in under-resourced regions. This paper examines key problems in primary school administration, including funding shortages, infrastructure deficits, bureaucratic overload, and insufficient teacher support systems. By analyzing theoretical models and empirical evidence, it explores how these issues impact daily operations, curriculum delivery, and overall educational quality. The study highlights common barriers such as policy misalignment, lack of administrative training, and accountability gaps, with a focus on contexts like rural India where these problems are acute. Findings reveal that fragmented administrative practices lead to reduced teacher retention, inconsistent student outcomes, and systemic inefficiencies. Addressing these challenges through targeted reforms can substantially enhance school performance and equity in primary education.
