Dimensional Reduction from the Sephirotic Laplacian: 11 Modes to 2 via Spectral Gap (v2 — Corrected Spectrum)

Authors/Creators

Description

VERSION 2 — Corrected to use the canonical Paper 9 Sephirotic graph spectrum. All eigenvalues updated from wrong graph (v1) to canonical 24-edge graph with horizontal bridges. The spectral gap INCREASES from 0.328 to 0.458 (40% larger), making the dimensional reduction argument STRONGER. Original abstract: We show that the 11-node Sephirotic graph central to MPFST naturally produces a spectral gap in its normalized Laplacian that separates 2 light modes from 9 heavy modes, implementing a geometric analogue of Kaluza-Klein dimensional reduction without compactification. The spectral gap Δλ = 0.458 creates a mass hierarchy ratio of 2.57, ensuring that at energy scales below the gap, only the 2 light modes contribute to long-range physics — one gravitational, one gauge-like. PDE simulations confirm heavy mode freezeout by t = 3.28 PDE time units. Nonlinear coupling preserves the 2-mode effective theory up to strong coupling (g = 1.0).

Notes

v2 (2026-04-02): Corrected ALL spectrum values to canonical Paper 9 graph. Old spectrum used wrong 4-edge set. Spectral gap increased from 0.328 to 0.458 (40% stronger argument). Da'at role updated: locks α=6/5 eigenvalue rather than gap enhancement. All figures and numerical results updated.
