Carbonite Coffin for ConedaKOR: A database software with a built-in self-degradable static mode as a sustainable Digital Humanities research infrastructure
Authors/Creators
Description
The poster presentation addresses the sustainability challenges of a digital research infrastructure in the Digital Humanities (DH). The goal is to preserve the data, maintain access and keep theusability after the end of a project phase, while cutting costs and environmental impact during the long-term provision. As a possible solution, the webbased graph-database system ConedaKOR has an integrated, self-degradable static mode, with a controlled transformation into a static site. The process is re-versible, rights-aware, and performance-optimized.
