The Activation Architecture: A Six Stage Behavioral Escalation Model
Authors/Creators
Description
The Activation Architecture is a six stage behavioral escalation model that maps what happens when a person's compressed window of tolerance is breached. It tracks the predictable sequence from initial trigger through full survival response: Scanning, Pattern Detection, Activation, Escalation, Rupture, and Collapse or Reset. The model accounts for feedback loops and mask switching that occur as the system attempts to regain safety, and identifies where in the cycle intervention is most effective. Part of the Unscarred transdiagnostic behavioral framework system.
