The ARC Framework: Ontological Foundations of Deterministic Inference
Authors/Creators
Description
This paper presents the ontological foundations of the deterministic inference architecture described in companion work — why the architecture has the shape it does. A single generative principle from the original E.L.I.A. design (the human-machine interface layer to the ARC compiler, guaranteeing traceability of all changes in the knowledge system of the Deterministic Inference Engine) is introduced, from which the structural completeness of the type system, the geometric and semantic properties of the domain space, and the acyclicity of the enforcement graph all follow as consequences. All mathematical assumptions of the inference engine are closed.
