Description
The Transform Nutrition project, developed in the Rapale district of Mozambique between 2020 and 2023, is part of a consortium led by ADPP-Mozambique, with direct funding from USAID and multilateral cooperation from various actors. Its purpose is to combat chronic malnutrition in the Rapale district and others, integrating sectors such as health, agriculture, and education, directly benefiting pregnant and lactating women, adolescents, and children under two years of age in various communities within the district. This study aims to analyze the influence of multilateral cooperation on the implementation of the Transform Nutrition project, focusing on the interaction between international assistance and local implementations in the Rapale district. This is a qualitative research study using semi-structured interviews with ADPP consortium managers, cooperation partners, the district government, community leaders, and direct beneficiaries. The results demonstrate that the strategy was based on governance through multi-sectoral consortia and community mobilization through Mother Leaders.
